Hanuman Das
Hanuman Das is the manager of the Neem Karoli Baba Ashram in Taos, New Mexico.  His wit, wisdom and presence is a blessing to all, and it is a joy to share his insights with you.

Below is a short segment of an extensive dialogue we conducted with Hanuman Das, which appears in its entirety in our book "Dialogues With Emerging Spiritual Teachers."

Q. Hanuman, you have been living here in the ashram for many years now. What are some of the most important things you have learned from this experience and could recommend to others?

A.  I think the most important thing I've learned is that our actions and how we live our lives affect people more than any words I could speak.  It is the consistency that I've had to keep to be here and to continuously remember that my Guru's teaching was to "love everyone" and to bring that into every relationship that I have with people.  And I think that it's just "remember."  I guess it's "walk your talk" as how it's been put so simply and easily.  That's going to affect your life and the lives of everybody around you a lot more than any words that I could say.
