Sherman John
Sherman is an archetypal example of someone who has risen from the depths
of Federal Prison hell to become a wonderful Self-embodied being. With
the help of spiritual adept Gangaji, John's awakening was "green-lighted"
into reality. His story is a wonderful reminder of our worthiness
to know the truth of who we are.
Below is a short segment of an extensive dialogue we conducted with John, which appears in its entirety in our book "Dialogues With Emerging Spiritual Teachers." Q. You said during that time she (Gangaji) was "always with you," not only in terms of her feedback from letters, but also in some sense in your heart? A. She was always with me. That's right. She was never absent. The letters are one aspect of her presence, but actually the letters are the least of it. The truth is she is your Self. There is nothing other than your Self. And how that is ignored is the great mystery. The truth is not a mystery. Reality is not a mystery. This is permanently present. The mystery is that we can deny it and ignore it. So that she, as her, as Self, as nothing, was never absent in the entire time. She's not absent now. She's never been absent, not even throughout the life. For more information on John
