Mira
Mira
is a beautiful example of pure-heart sweetness as she moves with the light
of Self amongst us. Her story is one of total devotion and surrender
to the realization of the truth of who she is.
Below is a short segment of an extensive dialogue we conducted with Mira, which appears in its entirety in our book "Dialogues With Emerging Spiritual Teachers." Q: The concept of enlightenment seems to have taken on many meanings in these times. Can you share with us what your insight is regarding enlightenment, and what it might mean in relationship to other terms like emptiness or shunyata? A: First of all, as you say, enlightenment is a concept, so now knowing this we can speak. You want a description. You can say that when you are totally in complete fullness the search is totally fulfilled. You don't even need to know what "it is" because you are "it," you see? When there is not a single inch of anxiety about anything, that could be called fulfillment of life, of one's search. And also what strikes me is to have realized what is "the present." For me this is an incredible realization. Just to have realized what "present" means. I never could guess that we live all the time in past or future. I was not guessing it. And that makes all the difference, because then each aspect of existence is aliveness itself, you see.
